MTV’s The Challenge fans adore The Challenge: All Stars, as it brings back fan favorites who competed years ago. Now, the first season is quickly coming to a close. And Jisela Delgado talked to the Challenge Mania podcast about her experience running the final — and how a few other contestants got serious help from production.
Jisela Delgado and Aneesa Ferreira had a contentious relationship in ‘The Challenge: All Stars’
Aneesa Ferreira and Jisela came into The Challenge: All Stars as friends. Because they both competed on MTV’s The Challenge in the past, they developed a sense of camaraderie between them, and they seemed to have a fantastic established friendship outside of the show.
Unfortunately, things went sour in the All Stars house. Jisela felt Aneesa backstabbed her prior to an elimination challenge. Jisela was headed into an elimination with Eric “Big Easy” Banks, and she hoped Aneesa would vote to throw in Yes Duffy against them. But Aneesa chose to vote for Nehemiah Clark. This was the nail in the coffin for her friendship with Jisela.
After the episode aired, Jisela took to Twitter to slam Aneesa. “Girl bye #fakefriend #TheChallengeAllStars,” she tweeted. From the looks of it, it seems the two haven’t reconciled since.
Jisela said production assisted Aneesa and Alton Williams with their canoe in the final
On the Challenge Mania podcast, Jisela talked with host (and partner in The Challenge: All Stars final) Derrick Kosinski about their early elimination in the final. And Jisela said Aneesa and Alton Williams got serious help from production when their canoe tipped in the first leg of the race.
“Their canoe was the right way,” Jisella started. “She said that she was in camp whatever the h*ll. We have Alton, who’s chiseled by the gods and we know his endurance is unmatched. … And you still managed to capsize and you had to be rescued by production. Had production not come, they’d probably still be in the water.”
Jisela then added “production flipped their canoe back over” and assisted them in cleaning out the waterlogged canoe. “They held Alton and Aneesa on another raft and they let them get back on,” she added.
So, were Jisela and Derrick upset about production’s assistance? It seems there were no hard feelings. Jisela noted production wasn’t that stringent with the rules and she would’ve loved the same level of assistance had her canoe capsized.
Is ‘The Challenge: All Stars’ only on Paramount+?
So, how can fans of MTV’s The Challenge watch The Challenge: All Stars? It seems the series is only on the streaming service Paramount+. As of May 26, 2021, fans can watch the entire first season of All Stars, which is nine episodes. The reunion special rounds out the season with 10 episodes total.
As for the future of the game, we’re not sure if Jisela or Aneesa will return. But it seems production’s working hard on season 2. Amaya Brecher, a Real World contestant and past player of MTV’s The Challenge, took to Twitter to announce season 2 is definitely in the works, though she won’t be on it.
“Before anyone asks: I was asked and said ‘no’ to doing the second season of #challengeallstars,” Amaya tweeted. “But, yes, there is going to be a whole new crop of your favorites competing on @paramountplus in the near future!”
We’re looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the series going forward.
