Peter Kay has been slammed by mums for making an ‘offensive’ comment about breastfeeding during his latest episode of Car Share.
The comedian and Sian Gibson teamed up once again to bring us a special audio-only episode of Car Share to get us through the coronavirus lockdown.
And while it was well-received by many fans, several others weren’t very happy with it, 175 people to be exact.
According to the BBC’s latest report, 175 people complained about the episode because of an ‘offensive reference to breastfeeding and/or bias against breastfeeding’.
The segment in which viewers were referring to started when Peter who plays John and Sian who plays Kayleigh were chatting in the car about children’s soft play areas as they reminisced about their childhoods.
Kayleigh (Sian Gibson) spoke about witnessing a woman ‘yesterday’ breastfeeding a three-year-old boy.
‘How do you now he was three?’ John asked.
‘He had balloons,’ Kayleigh responded.
He continued: ‘Is that what you call them? Breastfeeding at three?’
‘Swear down. Hanging off the t** with his teeth in Timbaland’s,’ Kayleigh added.
John went on to say: ‘There’s a time and a place.
‘I am surprised his mum wasn’t in tears with a three-year-old gnawing at her, they have proper teeth at that age, she must have been in agony.
‘They say breast is best but you have got to draw the line somewhere.’

Peter Kay’s Car Share originally ran from 2015 to 2018 and followed supermarket assistant manager John Redmond (Kay) and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson (Gibson) as they took on a company car-sharing scheme.
It was recently announced that Peter would be making his return to TV for the first time in two years, for the BBC’s charity Big Night In.
The three-hour event will also include surprises, amazing giveaways and live music performances from the artists’ homes.
The Phoenix Nights creator will be among the star-studded line-up providing laughs and entertainment for viewers on 23 April.
Comedian Lenny Henry announced the stars getting involved on The One Show on Tuesday, with Catherine Tate and Gary Barlow also on the bill.
Peter was also due to return to the stage this year after his two-year hiatus, but was forced to postpone due to the coronavirus pandemic.
