From Lindsay Lohan and Calum Best to Madonna and Michael Jackson, the shocking celeb hookups you'd forgotten all about

WHILE some celebs can't help but shout about their new squeeze on social media, others know how to keep their secret – and shocking – hook-ups to themselves.

Pete Wicks recently revealed his two year affair with Chloe Sims after he failed to make the romance official.

The reality TV hunk confessed he'd been sleeping with his onscreen BFF on-and-off since 2018.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, he said:  "Yes our relationship has been more than just a friendship. It has been romantic."

However, he's far from the only star to have had a surprising – and famous – lover over the years.

From Hollywood stars to pop icons and TV hosts, how many of these shock celeb couples did you know about?

Calum Best and Lindsay Lohan

Notorious playboy Calum Best and Lindsay Lohan spent two years from 2005 getting cosy together.

Reflecting on the relationship in his autobiography, Best wrote: ''At this moment in our lives, we’re both a bit nuts. We both like to party a lot and it makes things tempestuous.’'

He admitted that he wasn't the best boyfriend, however, saying: ''When we go out I flirt with other girls, sometimes in front of her, and one day she catches me hanging out with another girl in my hotel room.''

That incident led to the couple splitting up, only to then get back together shortly after.

Best spent their short break failing to behave as a video emerged of him spending the the night with an escort – which led to the end of their relationship for good.

Following the release of the X-rated video, Lohan branded Best an ''a******e'', while he later said the relationship was ''never going to last''

Moby and Natalie Portman

Musician Moby claimed in his memoir that he and Natalie Portman were together when he was 53 and she was 20.

However, Portman quickly refuted those claims.

The actress told Harper's Bazaar: ''I was surprised to hear that he characterised the very short time that I knew him as dating because my recollection is a much older man being creepy with me when I just had graduated high school. He said I was 20; I definitely wasn’t. I was a teenager. I had just turned 18.''

He issued an apology to the star on Instagram claiming that he should have ''acted more responsibly and respectfully'' when he met Natalie.

He also admitted he came in from some stick from fans, saying: "As far as the very brief affair I had with Natalie, it's made me the target of a lot of nerd wrath.

"You can't date Luke Skywalker's mom and not have them hate your guts."

Justin Timberlake & Fergie

Back in 1996 when Timberlake was just 16 and Fergie was 23, the two were reportedly involved together.

The pair went out before Fergie was introduced as one of the Black Eyed Peas' newest members.

Following their romance, Timberlake featured on the band's hit single ''Where Is the Love?''.

Speaking to Cosmo following the release of the song, Fergie said: ''Justin and I would go out together and have fun and make out. We went to Hawaii together, but we were never serious. He was Mr. Right Now."

Madonna & Michael Jackson

Two of the world's biggest pop icons surprised the public by getting together back in 1991.

Michael Jackson and Madonna made their first public appearance at The Oscars, after meeting in the early 80s when her manager at the time was also managing the Thriller singer.

The details about their short-lived affair are mostly secret, but Madonna admitted to James Corden on The Late Late Show that she ''loosened'' up the late singer with a glass of Chardonnay.

There was wide speculation as to why the couple didn't work out, but apparently the pop diva didn't like Jackson's sense of style – leaving him furious when she criticised his buckles in public.

Robbie Williams & Cameron Diaz

Another unexpected duo comes in the form of Hollywood starlet Cameron Diaz and popstar Robbie Williams.

The ex-Take That star was spotted kissing and holding hands with Diaz on Santa Monica beach back in 2003, though they are thought to have split shortly after

Recently, Williams spoke candidly about how Diaz saved his relationship with Ayda Field on the Staying At Home with the Williamses podcast.

During one of his many splits with Field, he talked with Drew Barrymore and Diaz at a party.

He said: "I started to espouse about this brilliant person I’d just ended a relationship with.

"And Cameron Diaz said, ‘It doesn’t sound like that one’s over'. And in that moment – I don't know why it was – the universe went, 'Go to Ayda. Be with her. Marry her'."

Sharon Osbourne and Jay Leno

Sharon Osbourne was 25 when she had her fling with comedian Jay Leno.

Their short-lived fling began when they met at The Comedy Store in LA, leading to late night phone calls and Leno complementing her accent and intelligence.

Osbourne later revealed rather intimate details of their relationship, which she said only "took a second''.

Commenting on his stamina in the bedroom, she remarked: ''F***, no, it wasn't long enough.''

However, two years later she walked down the aisle with Ozzy and the two have been together since.
