EastEnders fans were left utterly gobsmacked on Tuesday evening, as two characters ditched the social distancing rules in favour of sharing an on-screen kiss.
Bobby Beale took advantage of having an empty house, as he took girlfriend Dana Monroe back to his so they could get cosy in the bedroom.
But they both confessed that they'd never done anything like this before, before sharing a sweet kiss in the living room with the intention of heading upstairs.
It comes after months of soaps, including EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, keeping a six metre distance between its actors to protect against Covid-19.
And fans were left stunned by the move, as they flocked to Twitter to post: "#EastEnders not seen a screen kiss in a year!!!"
Another fan chimed: "A kissing scene!" with two clapping emojis.
Someone else wondered: "#EastEnders has kissing scenes again. Which other UK soap do you think will be the last one to return to that?"
"Wait, they're back to kissing on #EastEnders now…" a fourth viewer penned.
It came after Gray and Chelsea could be seen hugging and kissing outside Gray's flat, and looks like it could herald a – hopefully safe – return to close filming again after more than a year of restrictions.
Other soaps have been opting for a more socially distanced approach, leaving some fans feeling certain scenes felt "inauthentic" as reunions were conducted without emotional hugging and kissing between family members.
And over in Coronation Street, Alina and Tyrone's first kiss was done by two body doubles, which had certain viewers in hysterics.
