Countryfile star Hanza Yassin said that he may have been “foolish” to sign up for the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing as he prepares to couple up with his professional dance partner in a few weeks time.
During Sunday’s instalment of the popular BBC One wildlife show, TV host John Craven welcomed the professional wildlife photographer and actress Alison Steadman onto the show.
The broadcast journalist enlisted their help to narrow down the applicant submissions for the annual photography competition ahead of BBC’s upcoming charity calendar.
But the silver fox couldn’t help but congratulate his fellow co-star on his involvement on the beloved dance competition later this year.
As the trio sat down under a beautiful pergola, John passed on his support to the nature cameraman.
He said: “Hamza thank you for helping me launch the competition and since then it has been announced that you’re going to be on Strictly.
Hanza replied with: “That is right, I am looking forward to it. I think it’s going to be very interesting.”
Shocked at his latest career update, Allison gushed: “You're so very brave” as she confessed she wasn’t sure if she could compete on the show.
It was at this point that Hanza admitted: “Or foolish, I don’t know. We’ll find out!”
