Coronation Street favourite Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) finds herself in the spotlight next week following the tragic death of her partner Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo).
Imran’s funeral takes place in upcoming scenes and Toyah delivers a heartfelt eulogy saying how she wishes Imran had survived the car crash not her. Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) look sceptical.
With the funeral over, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) tells Toyah about Adam’s allegation and how the police have just questioned him about Susie and her desperation for a baby.
Toyah calls at the police station and tells DS Swain there are things they need to talk about.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson)calls at the police station, desperate for news of Toyah, determined to stand by her sister.
Toyah makes it clear that she didn’t intend to kill Imran or herself and she won’t lie to that effect.
Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) previously come under suspicion for allegedly fiddling with the brakes on Imran's car hours before the crash.
The mechanic faced tough questioning during Thursday's (June 2) episode, as he tried to hide the truth that he did meddle with the ignition to aid in Abi' Webster's (Sally Carman) failed attempt to run away with baby Alfie.
However, some new information came to light from Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) telling investigators Imran was on his way to confess all of his dirty deeds to Toyah just before the crash.
Abi and Kevin were ultimately released from custody when a diagnostics check confirmed the brakes weren't tampered with, plus the CPS was declining to pursue kidnapping charges against Abi.
Over at the hospital, Toyah was still grieving Imran's loss when she was confronted by the detective over her version of events.
The detective revealed she had eyewitness testimony claiming that Toyah and Imran were "rowing" just before their car hit the scaffolding.

"We have evidence that you may well have been fighting as you were driving," the detective told a stunned Toyah.
The copper added: "The brakes on the car were working fine. You were speeding along and you made no attempt to apply the brakes, leading to the death of Mr Habeeb.
"You didn't hit the brakes, did you?"
The episode left off on a cliffhanger with Toyah struggling to answer that all-important question.
