Czuchry’s big break came when he joined Gilmore Girls as Logan Huntzberger during season 5 in 2004. Although he started in a recurring role, the actor was cast as a series regular by season 6. Czuchry was cast in the starring role of Conrad Hawkins, the titular resident at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, on Fox’s medical drama The Resident in 2018. As a senior resident and one of the hospital’s best doctors, Conrad supervises a first-year resident, Dr. Devon Pravesh, at the start of the series. Although Conrad does come across as arrogant at times, it’s clear that he cares deeply for his patients which is why he is a fan-favorite character.
Czuchry still stars in The Resident today. The series finished its fourth season in May 2021. The Resident was also renewed for a fifth season shortly before season 4’s end. Fans expect Czuchry to return in the new season alongside co-stars Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Morris Chesnut, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Bruce Greenwood, and Jane Leeves.
