Supercomputer predicts Man City will WIN Champions League with Chelsea and Liverpool given just outside chance of glory

MANCHESTER CITY are finally set to win their first-ever Champions League crown, according to a supercomputer.

Since being taken over by their mega-rich owners in 2008, the Etihad club have wanted to win it all.

In that time, City have won the Premier League four times, the FA Cup twice and the League Cup a staggering five times.

But the one trophy that's always eluded them, much like fellow super-wealthy giants Paris Saint-Germain, is the Champions League.

Man City take on Porto in their last-16 tie as they look to take a step towards the holy grail.

And according to FiveThirtyEight, Pep Guardiola's side are finally set to break their European Cup duck.

The numbers suggest absolutely no-one will put up a fight in their determined quest for 'Old Big Ears' either.

Incredibly, City have a 37 PER CENT chance to winning the Champions League crown such is their current dominance.

For context, their closest rivals are Barcelona with just a 13 per cent shot of getting their hands on the trophy.

In what is almost-certain to be Lionel Messi's final season at the Nou Camp, the club will surely go all-out to win their first European crown since 2014-15.

Messi is expected to join one of Man City or PSG in what could prove the missing piece in the puzzle in their pursuit of continental success.

Reigning champions Bayern Munich are third-favourites to win this season's competition, with an 11 per cent chance of glory, according to the supercomputer,

Despite their atrocious domestic run and facing a tricky RB Leipzig in the last-16, 2018-19 winners Liverpool are the fourth-favourites.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds are an outside bet to win it all, with just a seven per cent shot.

Real Madrid – 13-time winners of the competition – have just a six per cent of going all the way.

Chelsea and Juventus are even further adrift, given just a five per cent chance of lifting the trophy.

Spare a thought for Porto, Lazio and Borussia Monchengladbach though..

The supercomputer has given all three less than one per chance of winning the tournament.
