A new arrival for Richard Gere and his wife, Alejandra Silva, makes it a family of four. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the couple welcomed a son, their second child together. Just last year, they had their first child, son Alexander, in February.
The new baby is also a boy, THR notes. Though Gere's relationship with Silva has been under-the-radar, the two dated for over four years before getting married in a small ceremony in 2018. It's a stark contrast to Gere's past, which included high-profile relationships with model Cindy Crawford from 1991-1995 and Carey Lowell. Gere and Lowell were together for nearly 15 years and share a son together, 20-year-old Homer.
Silva, who is a political activist, has a son, Albert, from a past relationship with Spanish mining tycoon Govind Friedland.
E! News notes that Silva and the entire family are happy and healthy at their property in Pound Ridge, New York. Hola! reports that Silva had a home birth and that Alexander is especially elated at the arrival of his little brother.
