Prince Harry Is Missing Royal Family and Didn't Think Things Would Turn Out This Way, Experts Claim

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex officially left their royal duties on March 31 and news about the couple’s adjustment to their new life in the spotlight has been sparse. With the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic dominating the news cycle, headlines about the Sussexes aren’t as prolific as they were in the days surrounding their exit, so it’s unclear how their transition to normal life has played out. One royal expert believes that Prince Harry is especially missing his family because of the current health crisis.

Expert claims Prince Harry is missing his family now

Given the pandemic, the time away from his family is likely makinghim miss home more than usual, according to one royal expert.

“I think we all hope that after such a rumpus that Meghan and Harry have found the happiness and peace they hoped for in their new life,” Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told Fabulous.

She added, “But there is no doubt Harry must be missing hisfamily during these strange times and must be thinking how much more he coulddo if he was here.”

A source shared with the Daily Telegraph that Prince Harry told friends of his surprise over how things shook out. “He has been telling friends that he still can’t believe this has happened,” the insider noted, adding, “He can’t believe his life has been turned upside down.”

While Prince Harry said that his relationship with Meghanhas been great, the insider shared, “I don’t think he foresaw things turningout quite as they did.”

The Sussexes’ biographer confirms they couldn’t have expected Megxit

Expert Omid Scobie, who co-wrote the upcoming tell-all book about Prince Harry and Meghan, Finding Freedom, shared the same sentiment about how the couple couldn’t have expected the way things turned out. As a royal expert who has been granted inside access to the couple’s engagements and knows them personally, Scobie offered his perspective on how the Sussexes really couldn’t have foreseen how Megxit played out.

“These are things that no one expected. I don’t think even Harry and Meghan, who by their own accounts struggled with the realities of the situations they were in, expected things to sort of turn out the way they did,” Scobie shared on the May 5 episode of the Heirpod podcast.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex For more information, please visit sussexroyal.com (link in bio) Image © PA
