Lidl launches £39.99 BBQ pizza oven perfect for Bank Holiday weekend – and it even bakes bread!

We may be missing the opportunity to dine at Pizza Express thanks to the coronavirus lockdown, but thanks to Lidl we're going to be able to replicate that once again.

The budget supermarket have launched a barbecue pizza oven that will turn you into a stonebaked grilling master just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.

As the heatwave arrives and those lucky enough to have a garden, head outside to cook and eat food the £39.99 appliance is perfect for those looking to up their BBQ game.

The pizza oven will be in store from Thursday 21 May, so those going out to pick up their essential weekly shop can snap one up in store in the culinary section.

The game-changing piece of kit can be used on both gas and charcoal barbecues, and comes with a base to cook a 12” inch pizza as well as an integrated thermostat for easy temperature control.

It means you only need to wait for it to heat up before popping in your chosen pizza base and toppings.

The BBQ pizza over will certainly be an opportunity for food aficionados to whip up their own artisan creations to impress the members of their household, or those they are socially distancing from.

Whether customers want to throw a pizza party at home, or test their culinary prowess, the accessory for any garden.

And Lidl point out that those Sourdough fans, who have been growing their own starters while in lockdown, will also be delighted to hear it can even be used to bake bread.

Lidl are also selling a pizza paddle for just £9.99 so pizza fans will be able to look the part when serving up their latest creations at home.

And if you're really looking to give your garden a makeover and go all out, but can't make it to a garden centre now they're open once again, when you pick up your pizza oven you can also stock up on Lidl's plant range which starts from £1.49.

The affordable collection which features both indoor and outdoor plants has perennials such as Snapdragons, Sweet Williams and Larkspur.

Or there are acer plants including Atropurpureum, Emerald Lace and Orange Dream, and other pretty flowers like lavender and British geranium.

If you really fancy a treat then you can snap up a selection of peonies, which are the most expensive item in the new range costing £7.99.
