Get 25% off Uber Eats via Bumble as dating app tries to encourage virtual dating

BUMBLE matches separated by the coronavirus lockdown can get 25 per cent off their Uber Eats order so they can enjoy a virtual date night.

The dating app wants to encourage those who are looking for love to stay connected in a time when everyone is abiding by social distancing rules.

Bumble works in a similar way to other dating apps, such as Tinder and OkCupid, by letting users swipe to match with others signed up to it.

Usually, once users have chatted online they will then arrange to meet up.

Now, the app has added a "virtual dating" filter to make is easier for those who want to take part in an online date to connect.

To get your discount, you'll need match with the Bumble x Uber Eats profile to redeem a code that you'll then need to enter in at the checkout when ordering your food on the delivery app.

There are a few catches though – the code is only valid for deliveries to addresses in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

The maximum discount is £5 so don't think that you can cheat the system and order huge amounts of food for your housemates instead.

The codes are only valid until 11:55pm on April 30 2020 and you can only get one code per person.

Both you and your date will need to enter the code in your separate Uber Eats order as you'll need the food to be delivered to different addresses.

You'll also need to fork out for delivery on top – this can vary depending on where you are and where you order from.

There are also only 10,000 codes up for grabsand they'll be handed out on a first come, first served basis so you won't want to hang around.

If you work for the NHS, you can bag 25 per cent off your take away with Just Eat until April 27.
