Mom always knows best.
“Family Karma” star Anisha Ramakrishna’s mother, Chitra, gave her a total style overhaul before Season 2 of the Bravo series started filming.
“My mom was like, ‘I am buying your clothes,’” Ramakrishna told Page Six Style in a recent interview. “Season 1, I was wearing my mom’s clothes.”
“They look great on her,” she added. “But I was also starting my business and to be honest, I didn’t want to spend on clothes.”
Ramakrishna, 36, is the mastermind behind size-inclusive label Currently as well as No Sharam, a merch line that offers baseball caps, statement tees, sweats, mugs and more.
“People think I’m a designer, but designers are actually very low-key. I have a different aesthetic for what I design and what I like to wear,” she said, joking that she was ahead of the curve on the pandemic sweatpants trend: “I was wearing loungewear for the past 10 years.”
And unlike many reality stars, she’s not afraid to repeat her outfits; in fact, she told us we’ll be seeing the dress she chose for our Zoom interview on Season 2 of “Family Karma.”
“Actually, it’s sustainable. Guys, everyone repeat their clothes!” she exclaimed.
“I know it’s not cool, but you’re kind of saving the planet by wearing outfits a few times. And if Kate Middleton can do it, we can all do it.”
“Family Karma” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
