Everyone’s saying the same thing about bizarre layout of £690k home… can you work out why? | The Sun

A MODERN house worth £690,000 has left Twitter confused by its bizarre layout.

The 1957 house, located in sunny Glendora, southeast California, could be banned in the UK for a very simple reason. Can you figure out why?

The bizarrely designed residence's floorplan reveals that the house has no hallway to connect the rooms, meaning you'd have to take long detours to get from one place to another.

In this apparent maze, you would have to walk through a dining area, a kitchen, a laundry room, a bonus bedroom and a bathroom to access one of the smaller bedrooms.

From the master bedroom, you'd have to go through a small hall, and another bedroom to have a shower in one of the two bathrooms.

And, although it would be illegal in the UK, the house was sold with one bedroom in the middle of the building having no window or natural light.

The floorplan indicates there is no second door in the living room but the photos accompanying the listing show differently.

The estate agents, California Regional Multiple Listing Service, described the single family residence as "highly customised" and a "showstopper".

"The living area is spacious and perfectly flows into the amazing kitchen!" the ad read. "There's a second large living area just off of the laundry room!"

Twitter users were left astounded by the house's layout.

Many Twitter users needed confirmation the "house is real" – with some saying: "it's worse when you find out it's a real house".

While the house was finally sold in October 2021 for $780,000, a copy of the floorplan resurfaces on Twitter, sending the platform into a frenzy.
