Dr Pimple Popper has explained what is happening in a gross video of someone digging into a belly button and finding a "pearl".
In the stomach-churning video, the hairy stomach of someone is being filmed while another person pokes a pair of tweezers into the hole.
After rooting around for a bit, they grasp on something and pull it out.
The bean-shaped object is white and smooth, leaving baffled viewers to compare it to a "pearl".
Dr Pimple Popper, real name Sandra Lee MD, says: "I have been a dermatologist for over 18 years and I've never seen anything like this.
"This happens when someone has a really deep belly button and they can collect stuff in it.
"It's a navel stone or omphalolith – it's as if your belly button is a dilated pore and this is a giant blackhead trapped in there, debris, oil, and dead skin cells."
She uploaded it on her official @drpimplepopper TikTok page with the caption: "Belly Button Comedone. This would create decades of joy for a pop-a-holic!"
The video was watched more than 2.5million times since it was uploaded on Tuesday (February 8) and her fans didn't know what to make of it.
One baffled viewer commented: "I thought it was a pearl at first. Folks out here growing PEARLS!"
A second user joked: "Leave it long enough and they may have had a diamond."
Someone else asked: "Am I the only one that regularly cleans their belly button?"
Meanwhile, some viewers confessed they had actually found the hard "stones" inside their own belly buttons.
One shared: "I had that.. popped out when I was pregnant."
"I managed to get mine out like 14 years ago," confessed another, "It was surprising to realize it was there."
This comes after Dr Pimple Popper pulled out a massive bullet people joked was the size of "a whole bullet".
