‘Music Icons’ Auction Includes Prince Guitar, McCartney Lyrics, Morrison Journal

Julien’s Auctions has announced its “Music Icons 2020” Auction that includes guitar used by Prince, handwritten lyrics by Paul McCartney, and a journal from Jim Morrison.

Some of the most iconic memorabilia and important artifacts representing many legendary multi-genre music artists are up for auction on June 19 and 20 in Beverly Hills.

Highlights include a custom-made 1984 blue cloud guitar used by Prince, a rare page of handwritten working lyrics for “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” by McCartney, and Morrison’s rare and historic “Paris Journal.” The jounral is filled with handwritten thoughts and poems by The Doors frontman shortly before his death.

Memorable items previously owned by Madonna, Guns N’ Roses, Elvis Presley, Queen, Bob Marley, Elton John, Whitney Houston and Cher will also be auctioned.
