GB News presenter Kirsty Gallacher has taken to Twitter to reassure fans she’ll be remaining on the popular channel. This comes after the broadcaster took a few days off from hosting her morning show.
She took some time away last week and the beginning of this week from her presenting role.
Many viewers missed her and were left wondering if she’d left the recently launched channel.
One fan even reached out to her on social media about this, wondering what the story was.
They penned to the former Sky News presenter: “@TheRealKirstyG have you left GB News???”
However, the broadcaster was quick to reassure her fan in view of her 431,000 followers.
The 45-year-old replied yesterday: “No! Back in tomorrow.”
Fans were pleased to see Kirsty return to the show this morning for The Great British Breakfast Show.
She was reunited with co-host Darren McCaffrey as they tackled the morning’s news.
During her time off, Kirsty also kept her followers in the loop about what she’d been up to.
This included posting a picture on Instagram of her in a gorgeous strapless top.
Alongside this, she penned: “Two days off called for a girlie lunch… and it didn’t disappoint!”
GB News viewers may have been worried about Kirsty’s absence after Andrew Neil announced he was stepping away.
During his regular show last Thursday, Andrew shared how it had been a “rocky start” to the channel.
He then explained how he will be stepping away for a “few weeks” from his evening programme.
However, he admitted he is expected to be back “before the summer is out”.
In his place, Colin Brazier has stepped in to present his show.
Elsewhere, Kirsty hit back at a viewer who criticised her views on the show.
They had penned: “Utterly disgraceful & abhorrent views from @DarrenGBNews & @TheRealKirstyG on @GBNEWS.
“We’re perfectly happy for some people to be denied their unalienable civil rights & allow the creation of an apartheid state because I had the vaccine so I could go on f****** holiday.”
She then replied saying: “I absolutely did not say that. Please get your facts right.
“We were merely documenting the government’s proposal. I actually have strong views to the contrary.”
