Inside Bravo’s Reported New Series, Winter House

The casts of Bravo’s Summer House and Southern Charm are supposedly joining forces. People reported on Feb. 19, 2021, that some of the cast members will star on a new show tentatively titled Winter House.

Summer House premiered on Bravo in 2017 and takes viewers into the lives of well-off New Yorkers as they party, er, vacation in the affluent community of Montauk, N.Y. during the summertime. (According to Realtor.com, homes sell for a median of $1.3 million in Montauk.) The cast consists of friends who share a house on the weekends and return to their regular lives in New York City during the week. Their lavish lifestyle includes everything a viewer would expect to see — high-end brunches, expensive charity events, bonfire gatherings, and beach trips, all laced with a bit of drama. As for Southern Charm, it has a similar theme. The show, which has been on air since 2014, follows wealthy young people in Charleston, S.C., some of who have deep family ties to the area. Like Summer House, there is plenty of drama to go around as the cast members navigate their daily lives.

So, how will Bravo combine the casts of two already popular reality shows? Let’s take a look inside Bravo’s reported new series, Winter House.

Where will 'Winter House' film?

Just from the name (which is unofficial, as People noted), it’s pretty clear that the cast won’t be basking in the warm sun like they’re used to for the camera. Winter House will reportedly film at a cabin in Stowe, Vt. The publication noted that, although casting may not be complete, Bravo fans can expect Summer House‘s Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo, Lindsay Hubbard, and Ciara Miller to appear on the show. Southern Charm‘s Craig Conover and Austen Kroll are also in the cast.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, cast members will quarantine for two weeks and must receive a negative coronavirus test before filming, People reported. Entertainment Tonight noted that it appears Craig and Austen are already in Vermont, per snowy footage displayed on Craig’s Instagram Story.

Bravo did not respond to People’s request for comment as of this writing, but it seems like fans are on board with the new series. Upon learning about the show, one fan tweeted that it was “the greatest news” of her life. “Love it can’t wait to watch,” another said. Production will reportedly begin “in the coming weeks,” so stay tuned!
