Giovanna and Tom Fletcher’s six year old son Buzz rushed to hospital after bike fall

Giovanna and Tom Fletcher have revealed their six year old son Buzz was rushed to hospital after falling off of his bike.

The couple, who shared a romantic Christmas snap over the festive period, said the fall resulted in their son fracturing his wrist and requiring urgent medical care.

Tom, 35, shared the news with his fans on Instagram, as Buzz showed off his fractured wrist in a cast.

In the snap, the McFly singer is seen with his hand over his face, while Giovanna, 36, pulls a worried looking face.

He captioned it: "Well, a fractured wrist is one way to get out of homeschooling. His second bike related lockdown injury.

"Thanks to all the docs, nurses and staff at the hospital. #nhs," Tom concluded, along with a blue heart emoji.

The performer's fans rushed to the comments section to send their love and well wishes to Buzz.

An Instagram user wrote: "Oh no! I've had mine broken twice so I know what it feels like! Loads of good vibes to Buzz.

Another person said: "Oh Buzz! Kids bones heal quickly, get better soon!" with a red heart emoji.

A third added: "Oh no poor Buzz! Look as his smile though bless him," while a fourth expressed: "Oh no hope he heals quickly. Lots of ice cream should help."

This is not the first time Buzz has hurt himself from a bike fall, after losing a tooth following an accident in May 2020.

Tom, who created an incredible classroom for homeschooling, said Buzz flew "head-first" over the bike's handlebars and encouraged his followers to wear a helmet when bike riding.

He wrote on Instagram: "Buzz performed the classic front wheel down the drain, head-first over the handlebars, face into the pavement routine last night resulting in the immediate and rather dramatic departure of his front tooth.

"He's ok though and a visit from the tooth fairy was definitely well earned after what could have been WAY worse if he hadn't been wearing a helmet.

"ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!" he concluded.

As well as Buzz, the couple are also parents to sons Buddy, 5, and Max, two.
